Are you craving something different – an alternative to mainstream Freshers’ events? An opportunity to get connected with the cities’ vibrant, radical underground scene from day one?
We encourage you to get off the beaten track, to get underground, beyond and between, away from student halls and university walls – to get stuck in and amongst it!
After all, the cracks are where the good stuff gets in 😉
Too often it can take until your final year as a student to get to grips with what the city is really about, at grassroots level.
Curated by a collective of ex-students, now passionate Leeds locals, L.U.F.F provides an inspiring opportunity to dig in deep with the diverse communities that create the underground movements and subcultures of the city, from day one.
This event brings together grassroots community organisations, radical collectives and independent artists, to showcase the intriguing activity currently happening behind the scenes in our city.
Alongside stalls, mini-workshops & showcases, there will be lovely grub, banging coffee, plentiful cakes & local brews from the bar, all accompanied by an eclectic range of music, art & performances from some of the cities’ most exciting up-and-coming acts.
This one day takeover event will take place at Open Source Arts, an events & projects space housed in a 5500sq FT warehouse in the Aire Place Mills complex opposite ITV on Kirkstall Road.
